Reforrestation

Forest Protection and Reforestation in Peru

More than 580.000 hectare of forest are protected through this project. More than a million trees are planted, many of those cacao trees for a local cooperative which is certified as organic and by FairTrade and provides local jobs. 30 endangered species are being protected including Giant Otter, Blue Macaw and Giant Armadillo. The indigenous people are guaranteed to be able to live their unique way of life further.

For every compensated ton of CO2 350 square meters of Amazon rainforest are protected.

Clean Water

Clean Drinking Water in Bangladesh

WHO approved
WADI is a solar powered UV-measurement device that serves as an indicator for the process of solar water disinfection. It provides households, schools and communities in the global south with access to safe water. WADI is approved and supported by the World Health Organization (WHO) for providing high protection against bacteria and protozoa. WADI is not only technically approved, it proves its efficiency in real-world-operation every day: waterborne diseases decrease by more than 80%, the use of CO2-emitting firewood reduces by up to 60%.

For every compensated ton of CO2 5 people are being provided with clean drinking water in Bangladesh.

Renewable Energy in India

You enable clean energy in India by supporting a project where wind turbines are build. The energy from the wind turbines substitutes energy that otherwise would come from a coal powered plant. Through that the amount of coal burned is lowered and the construction of new coal powered plants is avoided. People around the NEWNE energy grid in India benefit from your contribution.
